Al Salam International Hospital joined the rest of the world during the World Breastfeeding Week by organizing a campaign (Breastfeeding is the basis for a better life) in cooperation with the Ministry of Health on 17/8/2022 and the participation of many medical and health specialties from different centers of the hospital to emphasize the importance of breastfeeding and a commitment to promoting this practice that provides children better beginning of life.World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated annually from 1-7 August to encourage breastfeeding and improve the health of infants around the world. The celebration commemorates the Innocenti Declaration signed in August 1990 by policy makers, the World Health Organization, and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to encourage and support breastfeeding.
