Al Salam Hospitals Mark International Patient Experience Week 2026
Al Salam Hospitals recently marked International Patient Experience Week 2026, bringing colleagues across Al Salam Al Assima Hospital and Al Salam Al Ahmadi Hospital together for the third consecutive year to reinforce the importance of patient-centered care.
The annual event featured a keynote address by Deputy CEO and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Raghad AbdulMutaleb Al Kazemi, who highlighted the role every employee play in shaping patient experience and supporting positive outcomes for patients and their families.
As part of this year's program, Al Salam Hospitals launched the new “Shoulder-to-Shoulder” initiative, providing non-patient-facing employees with the opportunity to shadow colleagues in frontline roles and gain a deeper understanding of the patient journey and the experiences that define quality care.
The event also included a video competition that encouraged employees to reflect on the patient experience through creativity, collaboration, and storytelling.
A highlight of the week was a guest session by Al Salam Hospitals patient Faisal Al Mosawi, a disabled diver, athlete, and Guinness World Record holder, who shared his personal healthcare journey and offered valuable insights into the impact of compassionate, patient-centered care from a patient's perspective.
International Patient Experience Week forms part of Al Salam Hospitals’ ongoing commitment to fostering a culture centered on empathy, excellence, and continuous improvement in the delivery of care.
