CPR and First Aid Course Conducted for Caregivers and Household Staff in Tagalog

The Medical Development Center at Al Salam Hospitals successfully conducted a comprehensive CPR and First Aid Training for Filipino caregivers and household staff on 11 May 2026, which aimed to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in responding effectively to medical and household emergencies.

The training was facilitated by certified instructors who provided comprehensive discussions and hands-on demonstrations on essential lifesaving techniques, including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), choking management, wound care, bleeding control, and basic emergency response. Conducting the session in Tagalog allowed participants to fully understand the lessons, ask questions confidently, and actively participate during practical activities.

The course highlighted the vital role of caregivers in responding effectively during emergencies, especially in households with children, elderly individuals, and patients requiring special care. Participants learned the importance of staying calm, acting quickly, and providing immediate assistance while waiting for medical professionals to arrive.

Through this training, caregivers gained valuable knowledge and practical skills that can help save lives, prevent complications, and improve patient and family safety. In addition, the course helped boost the confidence of participants in handling real-life emergency situations both at home and in the workplace.

The participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to attend the training, stating that the interactive Tagalog-based discussions made learning easier, more engaging, and highly beneficial for their daily responsibilities as caregivers.
