Antimicrobials Stewardship Day

Under the patronage of Dr. Ayman Al-Mutawa, Al Salam Al Assima Hospital held an awareness day on the optimal use of antibiotics in line with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization. The day included scientific lectures presented by a number of speakers and in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Health, medical directors, and a number of doctors from the private sector. The scientific segment of the celebration featured a series of educational sessions and workshops. Experts in the field shared insights into the latest developments in antimicrobial research, guidelines for optimal antibiotic use, and strategies for combating antimicrobial resistance. Healthcare professionals at the hospital engaged in discussions and interactive forums, deepening their understanding of antimicrobial stewardship principles. Complementing the scientific day, Al Salam Al Assima Hospital extended its commitment beyond the hospital walls with a community program. Recognizing the significance of community involvement in combating antimicrobial resistance, the hospital organized awareness campaigns, health talks, and interactive sessions for the local population.
