Al Salam Summer Camp 2026 Welcomes Nearly 200 Children
Al Salam Hospitals successfully concluded its annual Summer Camp, welcoming nearly 200 children between the ages of 7 and 12 for an interactive program focused on health, wellness and essential healthcare skills.
Held at Al Salam Al Assima Hospital from 27 July to 19 August 2026, the Summer Camp featured a range of activities covering first aid, proper nutrition, fitness and physical health, and dental and oral care. Through practical, age-appropriate activities, children were encouraged to participate, ask questions and develop a better understanding of healthy habits and basic healthcare.
The Al Salam Summer Camp began more than ten years ago as a summer first-aid course for children and has since developed into a comprehensive annual program covering different aspects of health and wellness.
Commenting on the successful completion of this year’s program, Dr. Raghad AbdulMutaleb Al-Kazemi, Deputy CEO of Al Salam Al Assima Hospital and Hospital Director of Al Salam Al Ahmadi Hospital, said: “The Al Salam Summer Camp is an initiative that we are particularly proud of. What began more than ten years ago as a summer first-aid course for children has grown into a comprehensive annual program that introduces children to different aspects of health and wellness in an environment that encourages them to participate, ask questions and learn through experience.”
She added: “Introducing healthy habits and basic healthcare knowledge from an early age can have a meaningful and lasting impact. Through initiatives such as the Summer Camp, we aim to make health education accessible and engaging for children while encouraging them to take an active interest in their wellbeing.”
The Summer Camp forms part of Al Salam Hospitals’ broader commitment to promoting health awareness among children, alongside initiatives such as the Little Health Heroes program. Throughout the year, Little Health Heroes welcomes children from schools across Kuwait to visit departments at Al Salam Al Assima and Al Salam Al Ahmadi hospitals and participate in interactive activities that introduce them to health and wellness from an early age.
Through these initiatives, Al Salam Hospitals continues to extend health education beyond the hospital and into the wider community.
