Al Salam Hospitals Organizes First Aid CPR AED course for Kuwait Finance House Capital Staff

As part of its commitment to enhancing community safety and emergency response capabilities, the Medical Development Center at Al Salam Hospitals organized a First Aid CPR AED course for employees of Kuwait Finance House Capital (KFH Capital) on 23 June at Al Salam Al Assima Hospital.

The course was attended by 10 KFH Capital employees, who received comprehensive training in essential emergency care techniques based on the latest American Heart Association (AHA) standards. The course aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to respond confidently and effectively during medical emergencies in the workplace and everyday life.

Throughout the training, participants learned how to identify life-threatening situations, perform high-quality Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children and infants, operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), provide immediate assistance to choking victims, and deliver basic first aid for a range of injuries, bleeding and sudden illnesses. The course includes interactive presentation with hands-on practice, enabling participants to apply their learning in realistic situations.

Developing first aid and CPR skills among employees plays an important role in strengthening workplace preparedness and fostering a culture of safety. By providing internationally recognized emergency response training, Al Salam Hospitals continues to support organizations in building confident first responders who can take immediate action when every second counts.

At the conclusion of the course, each participant underwent a practical skills assessment conducted by a certified American Heart Association instructor using the official AHA skill testing checklist. All participants successfully met the required competency standards and were awarded the American Heart Association First Aid CPR AED Provider Certificate, which is valid for two years.
