Al Salam Hospitals Hosts More Than 200 Children and Their Families for Back-to-School 2026
Al Salam Hospitals successfully hosted its Back-to-School Campaign 2026 on 2 September at Al Salam Al Assima Hospital, welcoming more than 200 children and their families for an interactive day focused on health and wellness ahead of the new school year.
The campaign forms part of Al Salam Hospitals’ ongoing commitment to promoting health awareness and preventive care within the community, with a particular focus on encouraging healthy habits from an early age. The event provided children and parents with an opportunity to engage directly with healthcare professionals and learn more about key areas of children’s health in an accessible and engaging environment.
Throughout the event, children made their way through six dedicated health stations covering Pediatrics, Pediatric Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Audiology, Nutrition and Physiotherapy. Each station combined health screenings and practical guidance with age-appropriate activities designed to encourage participation and make learning about health an enjoyable experience.
Children also received a Health Passport at the start of the event and collected a stamp after completing each station, encouraging them to explore all six areas and participate in the different activities. After completing their passports, participants received a giveaway and commemorative photo to mark the experience.
The event also gave parents an opportunity to learn more about areas of their children’s health that can play an important role during the school year, from vision, hearing and dental health to nutrition, physical wellbeing and general pediatric care.
By bringing these different specialties together in one interactive experience, the Back-to-School Campaign aimed to help children begin the academic year with greater awareness of their health while reinforcing the importance of preventive care for families.
Through initiatives such as the Back-to-School Campaign, Al Salam Hospitals continues to extend health education beyond traditional clinical settings, creating opportunities for children and families to engage with healthcare in a positive, practical and accessible way.
