Benign and Malignant Breast Masses
Objectives:
• Differentiate between the clinical, radiologic, and pathologic features of benign and malignant breast masses.
• Describe the appropriate diagnostic approach to a patient presenting with a breast lump, including the use of mammography, ultrasound, MRI, and biopsy techniques.
• Identify common benign breast lesions (e.g., fibroadenoma, cysts, fibrocystic changes) and distinguish them from malignant entities (e.g., invasive ductal carcinoma, lobular carcinoma).
